Deities :

This magnificent, traditional temple enshrines the deities of Lord Ganesha, Muruga, Laxmi Narayana, Shiva Linga, Bairavar, Navagraha, Hanuman and Durga. A special Vasantha Mandapam houses bronze statutes of gods.  On designated festival days, these bronze statutes are carried around the temple precinct. Marble deities are predominantly seen in North Indian temples, while granite and bronze are the norm in South Indian temples. The installation of both marble and granite deities in this temple is a unique practice and perhaps also very rare even in India. It reinforces the willingness of different Hindi sects to accommodate each other and to maintain unity within the Hindu community of South Australia.
